I work with violin family instruments through close attention to how they respond in the hands of the player – not just in theory or in isolation, but in the real, physical feedback between musician and instrument.
Every instrument presents its own conditions, and every player brings a different physical relationship to it. My role is to understand both clearly enough to make precise, meaningful adjustments.
Setup, repair, and restoration are collaborative processes. Technical judgement matters, but only in so far as it serves clarity, response, and ease of playing.
I value direct communication, transparency, and craft without mystique.
The aim is always the same: an instrument that feels alive in the hands, dependable under the bow, and fully aligned with the musician who plays it.
